When I started Coburn Communication, it was with the objective of filling the gap in the agency marketplace for a mid-size firm focused on truly investing in its staff. So often I saw young publicists who had talent but little polish or confidence, and agencies unwilling to take the time and money to truly develop their talent.
Thirteen years later, Coburn still stands out as a place where the employees are always poised, focused and completely prepared, as well as creative and aggressive in execution.
In addition to our  approach to developing talent, I also think we are both distinctive and holistic with regard to the evolving media landscape. Many agency executives wax eloquently about the changes we all see, but our team has been in the trenches with both the traditional and revolutionary companies  living with and driving those changes every day. It has shaped and transformed our perspective as to how best to position our clients, and how to secure truly meaningful mindshare. The easiest or most obvious answer is not for us; instead, we dig deeper to find new opportunities that will have impact.
